In collaboration with Anto Dal Santo, Nelya created a story based video clip based on Anto’s childhood and his innocent childhood story about a boy trying to convince his financially struggling parent to help him pay the bills by growing weed. Nelya pays hommage to music videos of the 90s from grunge bands and boy bands in in the early 2000s

Layla’s Sunflower
Inspired by the true story about her niece secretly planting a sunflower seed in the garden. Nelya wrote and directed this short film during her time studying a BA at the University of South Australia. Taking inspiration from Pixar Films she enjoyed in her youth Nelya takes us on a journey through the eyes of a cheeky child and her beloved sunflower.

Nilu, 28, struggles to enjoy casual sex without getting trapped in another relationship, while her best friend and ‘Fuckgurl’ mentor Zarina, tries to hide her growing feelings for a woman.
